TeraRanger One I2C Adapter Data line support PixHawk
The I2C TeraRanger adapter can easily connect the I2C to a TeraRanger port or a hub and take care of the voltage level conversion and supply the power supply to the TeraRanger sensor. With 3S or 4S compatible lithium battery (12-16V). We developed this direct Pixhawk and APM flight controller via I2C bus. Once connected to the flight controller of the TeraRanger sensor automatic identification of the autopilot firmware.
Note: all TeraRanger a sensor number 1512 XXX and above are ready to operate with I2C. Serial number 1508 XXX and low there is a need to I2C flash specific firmware to your sensor. This is provided free of charge. Send an email to supportteraranger.com with the sensor serial number of the I2C firmware you requested, and we will send it to you via email. Then use the USB TeraRanger adapter to flash the I2C firmware to your sensor.
Quick installation instructions for Pixhawk and APM:
1,. Welding power cables (3S or 4S, 10-20V) to attach to the non-standard polarity of the adapter (+ and -), please refer to this picture above 2
2 provide connection cable adapter TeraRanger sensor. (if necessary, make sure you have installed the I2C firmware version of your sensor).
3 to connect to the other side of the I2C Pixhawk port adapter. You will have a spare compatible cable already in your Pixhawk package. Note: if you have any other I2C port connected to the Pixhawk, you can add a small I2C hub, also with Pixhawk. Refer to picture 3 or more.
4 make sure you have updated to the latest APM firmware
5 in the mission planner you can now choose the PX4 type by selecting \ “sonar \” using the TeraRanger enabled. (in the future, we will update this in order to facilitate selection)
